Oregon Measure 11

Oregon Measure 11 implemented mandatory minimum sentences for certain violent crimes, which means that regardless of the facts of the case or the defendant's history, if someone is convicted of the crime they must serve the minimum sentence. Even if you qualify, you cannot get an early release for good behavior, and have to serve your full time, which can rage anywhere from approximately 6 to 25 years. With such high stakes, you need to have an experienced attorney familiar with defending against Measure 11 crimes.
