Meet Our Attorneys

Sarah Morrisson – Owner & Attorney

Attorney Sarah Morrisson has years of experience handling hundreds of cases across multiple jurisdictions. She has seen how the justice system can treat the accused and will work with you at every step of the litigation process.

During law school, Attorney Morrisson was a certified law student at the Metropolitan Public Defenders Office. She gained valuable experience arguing motions and taking multiple cases to trial. She graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2016 and began her practice in New York. She started her practice at legal aid and assisted in certifying a federal class action lawsuit against a local New York jail and school district for constitutional violations.

Attorney Morrisson spent the next five years working in public defense, representing clients charged with driving offenses, assault, burglary, sexual assault, property crimes, and domestic violence offenses. Following a short stint practicing insurance defense for a law firm in Portland, she opened her own law firm, Morrisson Law LLC.

Attorney Morrisson is licensed in Oregon and Washington. She lives in Portland with her partner and two dogs, Avery and Noodle. In her free time, she enjoys golf and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Nick McCormick – Associate Attorney

Attorney Nick McCormick is a dedicated criminal defense professional with extensive experience handling state and federal criminal matters. He has developed a strong foundation in criminal law through hands-on experience and a dedication to client-centered advocacy.

During his time at Lewis & Clark Law School, Attorney McCormick gained valuable first-hand experience drafting pleadings and working with incarcerated individuals to file petitions for habeas corpus and post-conviction relief related to the conditions of their confinement. He later served as a certified law student for the City of Wilsonville, where he tried several cases as the primary prosecutor for the city’s municipal court. Working in these diverse environments helped shape his commitment to providing advocacy for the fair treatment and defense of rights for all individuals within the criminal justice system.

Following his graduation in 2023, Attorney McCormick began his career as an associate for one of the foremost criminal defense firms in Oregon, where he joined experienced criminal defense lawyers in investigating complex legal issues and developing comprehensive defense strategies.

In 2024, Attorney McCormick joined Morrisson Law LLC, where he continues to apply his extensive experience and unwavering dedication to advocating for clients during various legal challenges. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and the Federal Court for the District of Oregon. Also, he is a proud member of the Oregon Criminal Law Defense Association.

In his spare time, Attorney McCormick spends time with friends and family outdoors, where he enjoys surfing, skiing, and hiking.
