About

Mr. McCormick is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with extensive experience providing legal representation on state and federal criminal matters. Mr. McCormick has developed a strong foundation in criminal law through hands-on experience and a dedication to client-centered advocacy.

During his time at Lewis & Clark Law School, Mr. McCormick gained valuable first-hand experience drafting pleadings and working with incarcerated individuals to file petitions for habeas corpus and post-conviction relief related to the conditions of their confinement. He later served as a certified law student for the City of Wilsonville, where he tried several cases as the primary prosecutor for the City’s Municipal Court. These diverse environments helped shape his deep commitment to providing advocacy for the fair treatment and defense of rights for all individuals within the criminal justice system.

Following his graduation in 2023, Mr. McCormick began his career as an Associate for Janet Hoffman Law, one of the foremost criminal defense firms in the State, where he joined experienced criminal defense attorneys investigating complex legal issues and developing comprehensive defense strategies to provide the best possible legal support for every client.

In December 2024, Mr. McCormick joined Morrisson Law, where he continues to apply his extensive experience and unwavering dedication to advocating for clients facing a wide variety of legal challenges.

In his spare time, Mr. McCormick spends time with friends and family outdoors, where he enjoys surfing, skiing and hiking.

Mr. McCormick is licensed to practice in Oregon and the Federal Court for the District of Oregon. He is a proud member of the Oregon Criminal Law Defense Association.
